Climbing the main summits in Western High Atlas during the year 2006: Jbel Toubkal, Timesguida, and Ras N'ouanoukrim (Ouanoukrim)
Once climbed the Timesguida, we headed towards the Ras N'ouanoukrim (Ouanoukrim) at 4,083 m, which is about 30 minutes through a mountain pass at 3,968 m high.
First you have to descend about 100 meters before returning to climb to the summit of Ras.
In the mountain pass linking the Timesguida and Ras, the wind blowed strong and the last slope became eternal because we were tired after having climbed Timesguida.
A video on the mountain pass between Timesguida and Ras.
A picture taken at the summit of Ras with a Basque friend and the guide we hired. The guide was the son of the refuge guard. Notice the ice axe with the wooden stick he hold, a "classic ice axe". And of course, it was very, very cold.
