Climbing the main summits in Western High Atlas during the year 2006: Jbel Toubkal, Timesguida, and Ras N'ouanoukrim (Ouanoukrim)
The next day we made the ascent of Jbel Toubkal at 4,167 m, the highest peak in Morocco and in North Africa.
At the top we can find this metal structure that makes the mountain about three meters higher.
A photo to prove that we really climbed Toubkal. The ascent presents no technical difficulty. But like any mountain, we must pay attention and we should take the appropriate clothing and equipment. Of course, the altitude is noted: in the final meters you will need to stop occasionally to breath.
A video on the summit of Toubkal.
Back to the refuge, tiredness can make you think of couscous or tagine you are going to enjoy upon arrival.
The "good mountaineers" can climb Toubkal in two days: first day up to the refuge, second day to the summit and back to Imlil.
