The Fine Arts Palace (Palacio de Bellas Artes) is the most important center dedicated to the arts in Mexico. UNESCO declared the building artistic monument in 1987. The Palacio de Bellas Artes is located between the park Alameda Central and Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas.
Inside the building there are murals of the great Mexican muralists Jose Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Besides the museum, the Palacio de Bellas artes is also the opera house.
